Toronto City Clerk certifies 2022 Toronto municipal election results
Toronto City Clerk, John D. Elvidge, has declared the official results for Toronto’s 2022 municipal election. Election day was Monday, October 24.
The official declaration of results is available on the Toronto Elections Results webpage: https://www.toronto.ca/city-government/elections/election-results-reports/election-results/general-election-results/. Results are broken down by the office of mayor, councillor and school board trustee and indicate the total number of votes each candidate received. A total number of 563,124 ballots were cast in Toronto’s 2022 municipal election.
Please note that any votes cast on election day, as well as those already cast during advance vote and through mail-in voting, for the late Cynthia Lai, candidate for the office of councillor, Scarborough North – Ward 23, were not counted and data will not be available in the election results. Similarly, any votes cast in the voided elections for the French language public school trustee, Conseil scolaire Viamonde (Ward 3 – Centre), and French language Catholic school trustee, Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir (Ward 4 – Toronto Est), were not counted and data will not be available for those races.
The statement of declined and rejected ballots and poll-by-poll results that show the number of votes cast in each of the 1,460 election day voting locations, the eight days of advance vote and mail-in voting, are also available on the Toronto Election Results webpage: https://www.toronto.ca/city-government/elections/election-results-reports/election-results/general-election-results/.
The official number of eligible voters for 2022 will be available within 30 days of the election, when all the revisions to the voters’ list made during advance vote or on election day have been processed.
