(AGENPARL) – LONDON ven 01 luglio 2022
Detectives are appealing for information after a man was left fighting for his life when he was stabbed in broad daylight by three men in Leytonstone.
The victim, aged in his late teens, came out of Leytonstone Tube Station on Church Lane, E11, shortly after 19:00hrs on Sunday, 8 May and crossed the road when he was approached by three unknown men wielding machetes. They stabbed him in the chest and arm before fleeing the scene.
Officers attended and performed CPR on the victim. The London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended shortly afterwards and took the victim, who had sustained life-threatening injuries, to an east London hospital where he underwent surgery.
He has since been discharged from hospital.
Detectives from the North East Area’s CID are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Detective Constable Rachel Gardiner, the investigating officer, said: “A young man was left fighting for his life after this brutal and shocking attack, which took place in broad daylight near a busy Tube station.
“Do you remember seeing anything near Leytonstone Tube Station at about 19:00hrs on Sunday, 8 May that might help our investigation? Maybe you saw the three men acting suspiciously prior to the attack, or running away afterwards? Maybe something else from that evening sticks out in your mind?
“Please contact us with any information you have. Even something you think is insignificant could be the key to us bringing those responsible to justice.”
No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting CAD 5967/08MAY.
