Quando mancano solo tre appuntamenti alla conclusione del Campionato Mondiale Supersport, il team Ecosantagata Althea Racing conferma la propria crescita e lascia Magny-Cours con risultati incoraggianti in un campionato che quest’anno ha raggiunto un livello tecnico altissimo, con un passo gara mediamente più veloce rispetto alla scorsa stagione.
In Gara 1, il danese Simon Jespersen è stato coinvolto in un contatto con un altro pilota che lo ha costretto alla caduta. Nonostante l’episodio, ha fatto registrare il sesto giro più veloce della corsa, che gli è valso la partenza dalla seconda fila nella manche domenicale.
In Gara 2, Jespersen ha dimostrato tutto il suo potenziale: il danese è rimasto stabilmente nel gruppo di testa, lottando per il podio fino agli ultimi giri, e ha concluso in sesta posizione assoluta, risultando la miglior Ducati in pista.
Per Leonardo Taccini, dopo il ritiro del sabato, la domenica ha visto una rimonta convincente dalla ventunesima casella di partenza fino alla sedicesima posizione. Una prova che conferma i progressi e il buon lavoro svolto insieme al team in un campionato dove ogni decimo fa la differenza.
Il Campionato Mondiale Supersport tornerà in pista dal 26 al 28 settembre sul circuito di Aragon, in Spagna, per il terzultimo round stagionale.
With only three rounds remaining in the Supersport World Championship, the Ecosantagata Althea Racing team continues to show steady growth, leaving Magny-Cours with encouraging results in a season that has reached an extremely high technical level, with race pace significantly faster than last year.
In Race 1, Danish rider Simon Jespersen was involved in contact with another rider that forced him to crash. Despite the incident, he set the sixth-fastest lap of the race, earning him a second-row start for Sunday’s race.
In Race 2, Jespersen showed his full potential: the Dane stayed consistently in the leading group, fighting for the podium until the final laps, and finished in sixth place overall, making him the best Ducati rider on the grid.
For Leonardo Taccini, after retiring on Saturday, Sunday brought a convincing comeback from 21st on the grid to 16th at the finish—a performance that confirms both his progress and the solid work carried out with the team, in a championship where every tenth of a second makes a difference.
The Supersport World Championship will return to action from September 26–28 at the Aragon circuit in Spain for the third-to-last round of the season.

“Today was a good race even after yesterday unlucky crash, I finished P6 today and happy to be the best Ducati out there. I could almost smell the podium, but there were two areas where I was struggling too much to make that final step forward and arrive to P3. Still, some good points and positives to bring to the next race in Aragon, we’ll keep working to improve everything, the bike and myself.”
