(AGENPARL) - Roma, 4 Maggio 2023(AGENPARL) – WASHINGTON gio 04 maggio 2023 Washington, D.C. — U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation President Carolyn Cawley issued the following statement today on the release of the 2022 NAEP U.S. history and civics results, also known as the Nation’s Report Card:”The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation expresses grave concern over new federal data exposing a lack of knowledge about history and civics that spans generations.This crisis endangers our democracy, and we demand immediate action.Civics education must become a national priority, both inside and outside the classroom.That is why we launched the National Civics Bee that encourages children to learn civics and engage with their communities. Pilot competitions are being held in partnership with chambers of commerce in more than 50 locations across the United States.The teaching of citizenship – along with reading and mathematics – was supposed to be a cornerstone of our education system.
