How can Intellectual Property help women’s contribution to design?

WIPO is pleased to invite you to the upcoming session of our Sharing Sessions on Closing the Gender Gap in Intellectual Property (IP).
The seventh session, focusing on Women in Design (https://wipo.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=ebfb4bd1ae698020adc01a4ce&id=c9eb142b33&e=33ca93a169), will take place on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 1.30 p.m. to 3 p.m. (CEST).
The session (https://wipo.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=ebfb4bd1ae698020adc01a4ce&id=fd4fa2445c&e=33ca93a169) will open with remarks by Ms. Chitra Narayanaswamy, Director of WIPO’s Department of Program Planning and Finance.
You’ll hear inspiring stories from women entrepreneurs from Guatemala, Jordan, Lao PDR, Nigeria, and Poland, who will share their experiences in the design industry. They will highlight how IP has shaped their professional journeys and how it can empower more women to thrive in this field.
A panel discussion and Q&A session will follow, moderated by H.E. Ms. Hasmik Tolmajian, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Armenia to the UN Office in Geneva.
