We are pleased to invite you to an insightful hybrid conference on The Role of IP and Innovation in Addressing Global Public Health Challenges: Fostering Technological Transfer and Collaborations (https://wipo.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=ebfb4bd1ae698020adc01a4ce&id=54ff36fa1c&e=33ca93a169), taking place on May 5.
Organized in the framework of WIPO’s Development Agenda (https://wipo.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=ebfb4bd1ae698020adc01a4ce&id=77ece1751f&e=33ca93a169) and the Committee on Development and Intellectual Property (CDIP) (https://wipo.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=ebfb4bd1ae698020adc01a4ce&id=2cc034b657&e=33ca93a169), this International Conference on IP and Development will gather experts from governments, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, academia, and the private sector. They will share perspectives on how intellectual property (IP) and innovation can support global public health through effective technology transfer and strategic partnerships.
What to expect:
* High-Level Dialogue:
Featuring dignitaries from Bangladesh, El Salvador, and the Gambia on how IP can drive innovation, technology transfer, and access to health technologies.
* Expert Panels:
+ IP as a Tool for Incentivizing Innovation and Ensuring Access to the Health Technology Sector
+ IP Incentives for Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Technologies
+ Innovation for Health Safety at Work
Each panel will feature a Q&A session, providing participants the opportunity to interact directly with the experts. The event will conclude with a Closing Dialogue, summarizing insights from all panelists.
