
(AGENPARL) – WASHINGTON mar 20 giugno 2023 WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Labor announced that the Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation will host a series of outreach events in Arizona and New Mexico for current and former nuclear weapons workers, including uranium miners, millers and ore transporters from covered facilities, and their families from June 27 to 29, 2023.
Held in the Four Corners region, the event will help serve members of the Navajo Nation eligible for these federal benefits under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act.
“We also encourage all former nuclear weapons workers and their families in the Four Corners Region to attend one of these events to learn more about eligibility for benefits,” said Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Director Rachel Pond. “Staff will be available to assist attendees file their claims or obtain information about existing claims.”
Open to the public, the events require no pre-registration to attend. Events will be held as follows:
