Join the John W. Kluge Center and the Senate GLASS Caucus for a discussion with author and graphic artist Maia Kobabe and Megan Halsband of the Library of Congress Serial and Government Publications division.
This event will take place on Wednesday, April 12, at 4pm in room LJ-119 of the Thomas Jefferson Building at the Library of Congress.
Kobabe is the author of Gender Queer, a graphic memoir detailing eir path to understanding eir own sexuality and gender identity, as well as short comics published in many publications. Gender Queer won the 2020 Alex Award from the American Library Association. Halsband will interview Kobabe on eir book as well as on book bans, censorship, and access to controversial writings.
