The Library of Congress is accepting applications for a Supervisory Financial Management Specialist (Travel Program), GS-13, until April 18, 2023.
This position is located in the Travel Section, Accounting Operations Division, Financial Services Directorate, Chief Operating Officer.
The position serves as a Supervisory Senior Financial Management Specialist in the Accounting Operations Division in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer at the Library of Congress. The position reports directly to the Accounting Operations Division Chief and is primarily responsible for managing one or more programs within the division. The incumbent serves in a supervisory role and is responsible for providing oversight of system administration functions for the associated subsystems of the financial management system or external systems which support the program(s), and performance of operational tasks to ensure program goals are met. Operational support tasks include processing transactions, conducting accounting reviews, performing reconciliations, analyzing expenditures, preparing reports, and developing policies, procedures and plans associated with the program(s) managed. The incumbent is responsible for implementing program related government-wide initiatives and serves as the technical expert for managed programs. The Supervisory Senior Financial Management Specialist serves as the Library’s internal and external primary point of contact for the program(s) managed.
