La ricerca per valorizzare l’eccellenza del Made in Italy. 22 febbraio Roma
Qualità, innovazioni varietali, digitalizzazione, mercati, governance: Il CREA sostiene l’innovazione nel campo delle Indicazioni geografiche (denominazioni e indicazioni protette) che nel 2023 produrranno valore per oltre 20 miliardi di euro.
Il contributo del CREA. Oltre all’intervento del Direttore Generale Stefano Vaccari, tra i keynote speakers della sessione di apertura del simposio, i ricercatori del CREA saranno a disposizione per illustrare le più significative attività, che il più importante ente di ricerca dedicato all’agroalimentare sta sviluppando per supportare il Made in Italy, lungo l’intera filiera. Dalla valorizzazione e tutela dei prodotti di qualità – vegetali, animali ed ittici (composizione chimica, valore nutritivo e salutistico di numerosi alimenti DOP, IGP e STG) – a quella delle risorse genetiche locali DOP e IGP (Peperone di Pontecorvo DOP, Pomodorino del Piennolo del Vesuvio DOP), fino alla caratterizzazione dei prodotti e soluzioni a basso impatto ambientale(Pagnotta del Dattaino DOP, la Patata del Fucino IGP). Ma non solo.
Non possono mancare il miglioramento genetico delle filiere olivo, frutta e agrumi(Olio di Calabria IGP e Oli Extra Vergine di Oliva D.O.P. Monti Iblei e IGP Sicilia; riconoscimento delle IGP Siciliane degli agrumi, tra cui le IGP “Arancia Rossa di Sicilia”, il “Limone dell’Etna”, il “Limone di Siracusa”, Melannurca Campana IGP)e l’innovazione e il miglioramento per le filiere vitivinicole (recupero e valorizzazione del germoplasma antico del vitigno Barbera per l’adattamento al cambiamento climatico; qualità, resilienza e sostenibilità per il Vino Nobile di Montepulciano; la selezione di nuove varietà resistenti, miglioramento genetico della vite per un’agricoltura biologica) e la definizione dei territori vitati d’Italia. Presente, inoltre, l’attività di ricerca rivolta a due altre filiere tipiche del Made in Italy: i formaggi DOP IGP (scuola del Casaro) ed il progetto Newtechper la lotta alla contraffazione nelle produzioni DOP (Grana Padano DOP) e la pera IGP del Mantovano (economia circolare e sostenibilità nel progetto ESPERA).
Infine, da non trascurare la ricerca nel campo delle politiche agricole italiane ed europee (Eccellenze Rurali,ruolo dei Consorzi di Tutela nei processi di cooperazione e integrazione lungo la filiera, Progetto LIFE ADA per la resilienza del settore agricolo al cambiamento climatico) e lo sviluppo di sistemi digitali di supporto e ottimizzazione della gestione fitopatologica.
