(AGENPARL) – Rome, 26th and 27th of November 2020 From 26rd to 27th November 2020, the Operation EUNAVFOR MED IRINI<https://www.operationirini.eu/> Headquarters will host the Shared Awareness and De-confliction for the Mediterranean Sea (SHADE MED) Conference. SHADE MED’s primary goal is to provide a mechanism aimed at de-conflicting and where possible coordinating military and civilian resources, military and civilian operations and industry practices to achieve the maximum efficiency and effectiveness in managing objectives related to the migratory phenomenon in the Mediterranean. The seminar represents a unique opportunity for meeting, exchanging information and experiences and sharing common proposals for different organizations, ranging from Governments and Armed Forces/Coastguards of the coastal states of the Mediterranean, International Institutions such as the United Nations and the European Union and Non-Governmental entities. This year conference theme is “Challenges for cooperation in the Mediterranean after the global pandemic”. The conference will feature two panel discussions, followed by thematic working groups.
