The Week Ahead: Key Events and Meetings

“A User’s Guide to the Rule of Law” – Exhibition for the 35th Anniversary of the Venice Commission
The exhibition aims to present the principles of the Rule of Law in a way that is clear, engaging and accessible to all. Through the unique illustrations of Ms Nadine Theuma, a Maltese artist and illustrator, visitors will explore key concepts of the Rule of Law from a fresh and creative perspective.
This initiative celebrates the lasting contribution of the Venice Commission to democratic governance and invites everyone to reflect on the importance of the Rule of Law as a cornerstone of just and free societies.
Global cybercrime experts meet at Council of Europe 2025 conference
4-6 June, Strasbourg – The Council of Europe will bring together over 500 leading cybercrime experts from around the world to address current challenges, examine the global state of cybercrime legislation and further strengthen international co-operation.
In addition, a series of workshops will explore key topics such as crypto-investigations, e-evidence sharing, cybercrime as war crime, cyberviolence, youth and cybercrime. In addition, regional workshops will be dedicated to Africa, the Americas, and the Asia/Pacific regions.

3 June, Strasbourg – The European Court of Human Rights will notify in writing six judgments concerning Austria, Romania, Serbia and Türkiye.
The event comes ahead of the UN Second World Summit for Social Development (November 2025, Doha), aiming to align European efforts with global goals on sustainable development and democratic stability. The event will be hosted at the EESC Headquarters (room JDE 52, Jacques Delors building, Rue Belliard 99-101).
5 June, Strasbourg – The European Court of Human Rights will notify in writing 14 judgements and/or decisions concerning Albania, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Republic of Moldova, Monaco, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine.
An official ceremony will be organised on this occasion (at the Donostia/San Sebastián Town Hall), with welcoming words by the mayor of the city and the PACE President.
