The National Microcredit Agency participates in the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai. The Agency is represented by its Press and Communication Manager, Emma Evangelista, who had the opportunity to present the Agency’s institutional activities at the ConfimpreseItalia stand during this year’s CIIE. During this prestigious event, bilateral meetings were held with delegations from the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Italy and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China to promote microfinance activities and the internationalisation of SMEs. During the visit, Augusto di Giacinto, Director of the Shanghai ICE office, illustrated the opportunities that China offers to Italian companies, including small businesses.
Today, Dr. Evangelista and the President of ConfimpreseItalia, Guido D’Amico, had the opportunity to meet with the President of Maylink Group China, Mr. Li Ping, and the Vice President of First Italian Real Estate, Mr. Stephen Lee, at Maylink’s offices in Shanghai to explore opportunities for mutual cooperation. During these discussions, potential collaborations involving Italian micro-enterprises, the National Microcredit Agency (ENM) and ConfimpreseItalia were explored.
The delegation’s presence at the Shanghai fair represents an important opportunity to support ‘Made in Italy’ initiatives and to promote the culture of microfinance, as well as the capacity building activities of the National Microcredit Agency. This event offers global visibility to Italian Best Practices,’ commented Dr. Emma Evangelista, Head of Communication for ENM, on the meetings and overall experience at the fair.
‘I am very satisfied with the meetings so far. The Shanghai fair continues to be an important reference point for developing the opportunities that China offers to our entrepreneurs. It was particularly interesting to observe the positive approach towards the National Microcredit Agency and the strong interest in financial issues,’ said Guido D’Amico, President of ConfimpreseItalia and Head of Delegation.
