City of Toronto celebrates 11 years of Toronto Newcomer Day
The City of Toronto is proud to produce and present its 11th annual Toronto Newcomer Day at Nathan Phillips Square tomorrow. Deputy Mayor Ausma Malik (Spadina-Fort York) will address the crowd on behalf of Toronto City Council.
Date: Wednesday, May 28
Times: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (remarks by Deputy Mayor Malik at approximately 12:40 p.m.)
Note: A Canadian Citizenship ceremony will be held at 2:30 p.m. in Council Chamber with remarks by Councillor Alejandra Bravo (Davenport) at 3:25 p.m.
Location: Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen St. W.
First proclaimed in 2015, Toronto Newcomer Day welcomes newcomers to Toronto while helping them to understand and access a wide range of services and celebrating their contributions to the city. More than 65,000 people have attended this event since it began.
