(AGENPARL) - Roma, 18 Agosto 2023 - (AGENPARL) – ven 18 agosto 2023 Draft Existing Building Electrification Strategy Out for Public Review   The City of Sacramento is pleased to announce the release of the Draft Existing Building Electrification Strategy. In June 2021, City Council adopted Resolution 2021-0166, which directed staff to develop a roadmap to transition Sacramento’s existing buildings to all-electric by 2045. A key measure in the Draft Climate Action & Adaptation Plan sets direction to transition natural gas in existing buildings to carbon-free electricity by 2045. Electrification of existing buildings is a crucial step in the City’s work to reach carbon neutrality.
Staff will also be presenting an update on the strategy at the Planning and Design Commission meeting on Thursday, August 24th at 5:30 p.m. Staff report and meeting agenda with information about how to attend in person or via zoom are available HERE.
