I. Purpose and Objectives
Amundi Asset Management is Europe’s largest asset manager by assets under management, managing approximately $2 trillion of assets across six main investment hubs. We are seeking an ESG Special Projects trainee to support the US firm’s ESG strategy and initiatives across business lines. As a key contributor reporting to the Managing Director, US Head of ESG, you will have the opportunity to work on the US ESG strategy, implement key initiatives and collaborate with ESG colleagues in the Americas and globally.
II. About the role
The ESG Special Projects trainee will support the US Head of ESG and mainly contribute in the following activities:
? Contribution to the commercial development of ESG solutions and services
– Identify the needs of Amundi US’ investor base in collaboration with the sales, marketing and product teams
– Gap analysis / solution proposals for client or prospect meetings on climate, net zero, and impact topics
– ESG expertise contribution to RFP (Request for Proposals) / RFI (Requests for Information)
? Coordination and management of ESG content and internal working groups
– Creation of clients’ pitchbooks, in collaboration with the relevant management and support teams: standard and bespoke slide decks, ESG solution and/or expertise brochures.
– Collaborate with investment teams to deepen ESG integration
– Contribute to the synthesis and distribution of ESG market news to relevant teams
– Maintain and manage follow ups to ensure US ESG working groups are hitting project goals and moving initiatives forward on a timely basis
? Contribute to ESG thought leadership and brand presence
– Competitive intelligence on the following topics: net zero, climate, impact investing
– Support the growth of Amundi US ESG strategic partnership expansion
– Contribute to the expansion of ESG thought leadership pieces
– Support the enhancement of Amundi US’ digital content and presence
– Identification of ESG development opportunities to expand Amundi US’ domestic brand
III. Desired Qualifications
– Master’s degree (M1 or M2) related to sustainability, economics, finance, or an inter-disciplinary major
– Good level of understanding of the responsible investing industry. Previous work or internship experience in sustainability, strategy, marketing, or project management is a plus
– Excellent written and verbal skills in English (ability to speak French and other languages is a plus)
– Excellent word processing skills in MS Office
– Strong organizationaal skills, capacity to take initiative, ability to work individually and within a team setting.
