June 6, 2025 — London — The Official Trump (TRUMP) token has become the biggest loser among the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market cap, as a high-profile feud between U.S. President Donald Trump and Elon Musk spills over into the crypto market.
Trading activity surged alongside the decline, with 24-hour volume jumping 211.9% to $876.85 million, as traders reacted to escalating public clashes between Trump and Musk.
The spat began after Musk criticized one of Trump’s key tax and spending bills. Trump responded by calling Musk “ungrateful,” prompting a sharp reaction from Musk. The drama quickly rippled into markets.
Meanwhile, Dogecoin (DOGE), a token long championed by Musk, also saw losses, down 7.27% in 24 hours, with volume surging nearly 150% to $2 billion.
