We recently celebrated the incredible work of those in education in full glitz and glamour at the National Teaching Awards.
This Teacher Bulletin is dedicated to marking the National Teaching Awards, celebrating all those involved in teaching up and down the country, and highlighting the ways you can nominate your colleagues for recognition in the year ahead.
Regardless of whether you’ve been nominated or won an award for your teaching, you are all committed to breaking down the barriers to opportunity and delivering better life chances for all. We want to say thank you for all your hard work each and every day.

Celebrating teachers and everyone working in education
The National Teaching Awards are an opportunity for your whole school community to celebrate the work of your colleagues. DfE sponsors 5 of the awards, celebrating incredible educators right through their career and across education settings, from early years to further education.

““Great teachers have that wonderful power – to shape the futures of the children in their classrooms. […] And that matters to me so much as Secretary of State for Education, building that special bond between teachers and their students. I was lucky to have my teachers and your students are so lucky to have all of you.”
““I want you to be our partners in the push for better, working together to drive high and rising standards, to break down barriers that too many of our children and young people still face in our country. I want your careers to be careers that spark pride, that we value and respect as a society.””
