Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell met with Italian Ambassador Mariangela Zappia and thanked her for Italy’s leadership of the G7 and contributions to Ukraine’s security. They reviewed G7 priorities and challenges posed by the People’s Republic of China, including the PRC’s support for Russia’s defense industrial base. They reaffirmed strong support for Ukraine’s fight for freedom against Russia’s aggression.
