Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.  The Secretary and the Foreign Minister discussed the ceasefire agreement in Gaza that will secure the release of the hostages.  They discussed the importance of this agreement for regional security and stability and the need to implement it without delay, as well as to continue discussions to advance post-conflict planning for the governance and security of Gaza for the longer term.
Secretary Blinken thanked the Foreign Minister for the UAE’s support for this agreement and its continued humanitarian contributions to the Palestinian people.
