General
*Plymouth Combined Court update*
Plymouth Combined Court will temporarily close on Friday 29 March 2024 to allow essential building maintenance works to take place, while minimising disruption by carrying out the works over the Easter bank holidays.
It will reopen on Monday 8 April 2024. During this time, there will be no counter service, postal deliveries or telephone service. Please send any communications during this period to the e-mail contact details below.
Normal service will resume when the building reopens. Hearings previously listed for this period have been re-scheduled.

New law to make justice more accessible for complex cases
The Lord Chancellor, Alex Chalk, will introduce a new law that aims to make it easier for members of the public to secure the financial backing of third parties when launching complex claims against larger corporations.

Oxford Crown Court open day
Oxford Crown Court will be hosting an open day on Saturday 23 March 2024 from 10am to 2pm. Visitors will be able to speak with court staff and judges, visit the holding cells, explore a prison van, join a mock trial and much more.
