Vulnerability Action Plan
We’ve updated our Vulnerability Action Plan which sets out the work we’re doing in courts and tribunals to make them accessible for everyone.
The plan also ensures our vulnerable users are not disadvantaged or discriminated against as we deliver services now and in the future.

MyHMCTS survey
Legal professionals who are registered users of MyHMCTS will receive an email from our partners at IFF Research with a survey to complete.
By sharing their experiences, we can better understand how the service is working and what areas require improvement.
More information about the survey, which is open until 5 January 2024, is available at the researchers’ website.

Deaf juror blog
We marked International Day of Persons with a Disability this week with a blog post about the first deaf person to complete jury service with a British Sign Language interpreter in July 2022.
Since then 37 deaf jurors have taken part in jury panels.

Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development roundtable
This week, our Head of Insight, Luc Altman, presented at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development roundtable discussing equal access to justice.
Members from all over the world came together to share experiences in support of the OECD’s Reinforcing Democracy initiative.

Expenses policy for domestic abuse cases
More legal professionals are being encouraged to help prevent domestic abusers cross-examining their victims [ https://www.gov.uk/government/news/more-lawyers-sought-to-stop-domestic-abusers-interrogating-victims?utm_medium=email&utm_source= ] in court with a new expenses policy.
They will be able to claim up to £180 for their travel and up to £161 per day for other expenses, including hotel stays and food.
