Mayor John Tory and Toronto Paramedic Services to celebrate graduation of new Operations and Communications recruits
Tomorrow, Toronto Mayor John Tory, Toronto Paramedic Services (TPS) Acting Chief Bikram Chawla and other City of Toronto officials will welcome 48 frontline staff members to the City at a graduation ceremony for new TPS Operations and Communications recruits.
Date: Wednesday, January 25
Time: 2 p.m.
Location: Lieutenant-Colonel George Taylor Denison III Armoury, 1 Yukon Ln. The ceremony will be held in the Parade Square.
Note: Government-issued photo identification must be presented upon arrival at the armory. On-site parking is available through the security gate checkpoint off of Yukon Lane.
The ceremony will include remarks by Mayor Tory and A/Chief Chawla and the presentation of graduation certificates.
Having successfully completed comprehensive orientation and training programs, 43 Paramedics and five Emergency Medical Call Takers will be recognized at the ceremony. The graduates will join TPS’ dedicated team of professionals, providing world-class pre-hospital care to Toronto’s residents and visitors.
