Detectives are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision in Hounslow, which resulted in an elderly pedestrian dying.
Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance were called at 22:29hrs on Sunday, 26 June to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Great West Road, at the junction with Syon Lane.
The pedestrian, an 88-year-old man, was taken to a central London hospital with life-threatening injuries. He sadly died on Monday, 27 June.
His next-of-kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination will take place as soon as possible.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
No arrests have been made.
Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are leading the investigation and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the collision, or captured the events on CCTV, or dash cam to come forward.
