World Oral Health Day
Oral health [https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/oral-health] has long been neglected in global health. Dental caries, gum disease, tooth loss, and oral cancers affect nearly half of the world’s population. People face challenges and inequalities in access to oral health care, particularly in low-income communities and other vulnerable groups. WHO provides guidance and support to ensure that all people, wherever they live and whatever their income, have the necessary knowledge and tools and can access services to care for their teeth and mouths.
