(AGENPARL) - Roma, 20 Marzo 2026 -

Understanding how objective evidence impacts people’s opinions can improve understanding of attitudes and contribute to more effective communication. In addition, the event examined the latest scientific evidence on the causes and effects of attitudes toward immigration across Europe and how this can inform political communication strategies.
This event was organised within the framework of the agreement between the EP and the European University Institute (EUI). The Migration Policy Centre (MPC) at EUI conducts advanced research and training on global migration, with a key focus on public attitudes towards immigration – a critical social and political issue in the EU. Their work examines the attitudes to immigration in all its forms, including to work, study, join with family and seek protection, as well as irregular migration.
