Featuring horticultural treasures including Gertrude Jekyll’s garden boots and an Anglo-Saxon guide to herbal remedies alongside specially commissioned contemporary films and art installations, Unearthed reveals the powerful role of green spaces in our lives.

Have you spotted Unearthed: The Power of Gardening in your local library? A free panel display is now on show in 30 library services across the UK as part of our Living Knowledge Network partnership with public libraries. 
Alongside the display, libraries have been exploring the theme of gardening through talks, workshops and activities including nature walks organised by Portsmouth Library, a photography competition celebrating Edinburgh parks, gardens and green spaces organised by Edinburgh Libraries with Edinburgh Collect and seed giveaways and composting workshops in a number of locations including Rugby Library, Warwickshire.
