WHA Highlights
Day 4 of the 78th World Health Assembly (22 May)
The Seventy-eighth World Health Assembly [https://apps.who.int/gb/e/e_wha78.html] (WHA78) continues at the Palais des Nations in Geneva today, in Committee A and Committee B. Committee A
Committee A will consider the health emergency in Ukraine and refugee-receiving and -hosting countries, stemming from the Russian Federation’s aggression ( A78/14 [https://apps.who.int/gb/ebwha/pdf_files/WHA78/A78_14-en.pdf]), including taking action on a related draft decision [https://apps.who.int/gb/ebwha/pdf_files/WHA78/A78_ACONF3-en.pdf] and its amendment [https://apps.who.int/gb/ebwha/pdf_files/WHA78/A78_ACONF3Add1-en.pdf], and will hear the report of the Director-General on the health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territory, including east Jerusalem ( A78/15 [https://apps.who.int/gb/ebwha/pdf_files/WHA78/A78_15-en.pdf]) and on poliomyelitis ( A78/4 [https://apps.who.int/gb/ebwha/pdf_files/WHA78/A78_4-en.pdf] and EB156/22 [https://apps.who.int/gb/ebwha/pdf_files/EB156/B156_22-en.pdf]).

If time permits, the Committee will conclude the discussion on the independent mid-term evaluation of the WHO global coordination mechanism [https://www.who.int/groups/gcm/about] on the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases ( A78/INF./2 [https://apps.who.int/gb/ebwha/pdf_files/WHA78/A78_INF2-en.pdf]) and the follow-up to the political declaration [https://apps.who.int/gb/ebwha/pdf_files/EB152/B152_6-en.pdf] of the third high-level meeting of the General Assembly on the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases ( A78/4 [https://apps.who.int/gb/ebwha/pdf_files/WHA78/A78_4-en.pdf]).

Committee B
