Press release 16-04-2025 None [2] LUX Audience Award: invitation to the ceremony and interviews with finalists
The winner of the 2025 LUX Audience Film Award will be announced on 29 April in a ceremony at the European Parliament, in Brussels.
Media are invited to the LUX Award ceremony on Tuesday 29 April at 18:00 in the hemicycle of the European Parliament in Brussels.
On the day of the ceremony, accredited journalists will have the opportunity to interview representatives of the five shortlisted films. The following representatives of the nominated films are expected to attend the ceremony and be available to media:

Confirmations will be sent by 25 April. *The interviews would take place on 29 April at the European Parliament.
Registration to the ceremony*
The event – starting at 18.00 – will bring together MEPs, representatives of the five nominated films, and members of the public, to celebrate the winning film. Members of the press will need a valid accreditation to access the European Parliament. More on the accreditation process here [9] .

Press point*
A press point with representatives from the winning film, the European Parliament and the European Film Academy will take place after the ceremony, outside the hemicycle. The press point will be webstreamed [11] *.
Watch and rate the movies*
The winner of the award is selected jointly by MEPs and members of the public, on the basis of one- to five-star ratings, with the two groups’ ratings weighted evenly. The deadline for rating the films is 27 April 2025. To help choose the winner, visit the LUX Audience Award website [12] .
Background*
The LUX Audience Award has been awarded by the European Parliament and the European Film Academy, in partnership with the European Commission and the Europa Cinemas network, since 2020. The award helps to promote and distribute European films of a high artistic quality that reflect cultural diversity and touch on topics of common concern, such as democracy, human dignity, equality, fairness, inclusion, tolerance, justice and solidarity. Around 1,200 visitors attended the 2024 LUX Audience Award ceremony [13] .
