Serbian Socialist Party Chairman Goran Selak participated in an expanded session of the Republika Srpska Government, where issues of national importance were discussed, including the political, security and economic situation in Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the session, Selak emphasised the Serbian Socialist Party’s full support for the initiative to organise a pan-Serbian assembly in Republika Srpska, pointing out that Serbian unity is more essential than ever at a time of growing political and economic challenges.
‘At a time of many difficulties, it is crucial to remain united, support our institutions and work together to defend the constitutional position of Republika Srpska, protect the jurisdictions established by the Dayton Agreement and strengthen institutional unity,’ Selak said.
Among the main priorities that emerged during the discussion were protecting the constitutional position of Republika Srpska, defending the Dayton jurisdictions, institutional unity, supporting those affected by the floods, restructuring infrastructure and promoting stable wage growth, along with regular payment of social benefits.
Selak also stated that the security situation in Republika Srpska remains stable, with the Republika Srpska’s continued commitment to promoting peace and dialogue. ‘The Serbian Socialist Party is always at the side of the people, the institutions of Republika Srpska, and supports any initiative that contributes to stability, security and improving the quality of life of our citizens,’ the SPS leader concluded, emphasising that the party’s task is to be part of the solution, working with responsibility, courage and dedication for the good of Republika Srpska.
