The Library of Congress is accepting applications for Interpreter (American Sign Language), GS-12, until May 31, 2023.
This position is located in the Office of EEO & Diversity Programs, Chief of Staff, Office of the Librarian.
This position will have a limited flex band that starts at 8:30 a.m.
The purpose of this position is to provide interpreting services for Library employees, applicants and visitors who are Deaf, Deaf Blind and hard of hearing so that they are given an equal opportunity to fully participate in the Library work environment and programs. In addition, incumbent serves as an interpreting specialist providing a variety of technical, research and support duties for employees of the Library who are Deaf, Deaf Blind and hard of hearing.
