The Library of Congress is accepting applications for an IT Division Chief, GS-15, until April 21, 2023.
The IT Design & Development Directorate is seeking an IT Division Chief, GS-15, in the Office of the Chief Information Officer at The Library of Congress.
The selected candidate will work in the Office of the Chief Information Officer to execute leadership of the User Experience Design and the Quality Assurance and Testing sections. The selectee will engage with staff, and partner in a variety of modernization programs across the Library to advocate for User Experience Design and the Quality Assurance and Testing sections.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in User Experience (UX), agile methodology, practices, and processes and knowledge of the full digital product design and development lifecycle. The person should also be a skilled communicator and motivating leader with a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
Duties for this role include:
– Contract management and oversight in compliance with rules and regulations.
– Oversees the creation and implementation of a consistent and coherent strategy for User Experience Design for all product design and development at the Library
– Provide expert-level guidance in the implementation of best practices in User Experience Design for LOC digital products and services.
Requirements for this role include:
– Experience of ten or more years as a user experience practitioner and five years of those as a manager of practitioners.
– Experience supervising a team of five or more people for a minimum period of 5 years
– Experience contributing to the writing of contract requirements, proposal review, or the management of contracts and contractor staff
– Experience with design and implementation; managing process and supervising the team
