Debate with Presidents Michel and von der Leyen on recent EU summit
MEPs will assess, in a debate with Presidents Charles Michel and Ursula von der Leyen around 16.00, the outcomes of the 23-24 March European Council. The summit dealt with Russia’s war against Ukraine and the EU’s continued support for the country, competitiveness, the single market, how to boost the EU’s economy, trade, migration, and energy-related issues.

Ensuring the safety of all products sold in the EU, also online
Starting around 18.30, plenary will discuss a new law to guarantee the highest safety standards for any non-food products placed in the EU market, whether sold online or in traditional shops. A vote on the preliminary deal reached with the Council of Ministers will take place on Thursday.
Cut emissions of F-gases and ozone depleting substances
The proposed revision of EU rules on emissions of fluorinated gases (used in refrigerators, air-conditioning and fire protection, among others) and measures to deal with ozone-depleting substances (found in fire extinguishers and fridges, and used to control pests) will be the focus of a plenary debate with the Commission from around 17.15. MEPs will vote on their negotiating positions ahead of talks with the Council on Thursday.
In brief
Anniversary of the Good Friday agreement. At 15.00, before the opening of the session, plenary will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Northern Ireland peace agreement. Presidents Metsola, Michel and von der Leyen will take the floor, followed by a round of political groups interventions.
