(AGENPARL) – BRUXELLES lun 20 marzo 2023

Mr Gozi: “The first trialogue on transparency and targeting of political advertising took place in a pleasant atmosphere with a common will to cooperate in order to find a favorable and quick outcome. I reiterated its main political priorities, including the scope of the proposal, more transparency, the ban on third country sponsors, labelling, streamlining obligations for all actors in the political advertising chain, the creation of a single benchmark for online political advertising, strengthening the notification procedure for potentially illegal advertising and improving the implementation and governance structure.
The mandate has now been delegated to the technical level and we agreed that we must be patient but move quickly.”
The next trilogue is planned for 30 March 2023.
