
(AGENPARL) – BRUXELLES lun 20 marzo 2023 In March 2023, the European Central Bank (ECB) launched its quantitative tightening (QT) policy, to unwind its portfolio of assets that resulted from its quantitative easing (QE) policy of the last decade. This paper discusses the main arguments in favour of QT in the euro area and their validity, the possible risks associated with this policy, and how the ECB should implement QT to minimise these risks.
