Plenary session
One year of Russian war in Ukraine
A new EU Ethics body and stringent measures against corruption
MEPs are expected to push, again, for the creation of an independent ethics body for the EU institutions, in a resolution to be voted on at noon. In the wake of revelations about suspicions of corruption in Parliament, they will vote on a second draft resolution urging for substantial reforms to better protect the House from attempts of malicious interference.
An EU strategy to boost industrial competitiveness
Parliament will vote at noon on its ideas for renewed support for Europe’s industrial sector, in view of the Commission’s Green Deal Industrial Plan and ahead of upcoming legislative proposals expected from the Commission. The resolution will wrap up several recent plenary debates about increasing Europe’s industrial competitiveness.
Fertilisers: contain prices and enhance EU’s strategic autonomy
Starting around 10.00, plenary will quiz Commissioner Wojciechowski on his plans to address distortions in the fertilisers’ market. A draft resolution, on which MEPs will vote at noon, demands the Commission ensures the supply of fertilisers, and that it takes action to bring down prices and increase the EU’s strategic autonomy in fertilisers.
