Following her address to heads of state or government at the European Council, EP President Roberta Metsola will hold a press conference today at around 10.30.
WHEN: Thursday 15 December, at around 10.30
WHERE: European Council press conference room
At 9.30 today, President Metsola will address heads of state or government. She will convey the position of the European Parliament on the topics to be discussed by leaders during their meeting. She is set to call for the EU’s continued strong and unwavering support for Ukraine, particularly in view of Russia destroying vital infrastructure and the harsh winter ahead. The President is also expected to reiterate Parliament’s call for more decisive action to end exorbitant energy prices particularly affecting Europe’s most vulnerable households and small businesses.
The press conference will start at around 10.30. Interpretation will be available in English, French and German.
