Our international community
Our collection spans the globe, telling stories of people and cultures across continents. Through our programmes and resources, we aim to bring that collection to everyone, everywhere. This month, we’re going around the world to explore the work we do for and with our international community.

A beautifully hand-crafted book exhibiting the culture of a small Carpathian ethnic group, 1920s photographs of newspaper printing rooms in the former East African country of Tanganyika – scratch that travelling itch with a visit to our blogs.

In this blog, Rahul delves into our sound archive and explains why he has chosen Carol Tingey’s field recordings of the Gaine community in Nepal as the starting point for his residency.
