Ensuring gas supply in the EU ahead of winter
As of 9.00, plenary will discuss with Commission Executive Vice-President Timmermans the plans to refill Europe’s gas reserves more quickly to ensure supply during the cold season, in response to Russia’s war against Ukraine. At 11.30, MEPs will vote on the new law, already agreed upon with the Council of the EU.

EU candidate status for Ukraine and Moldova, support for Georgia’s progress
In a resolution to be put to the vote at 11.30, Parliament is set to call on EU leaders to grant EU candidate status to Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, and to support Georgia’s progress towards EU membership.

Minimum corporate tax rate: MEPs discuss national vetoes undermining the global tax deal
MEPs will discuss with the Commission and the French Presidency the threat by some member states to veto an EU law adopting the global tax agreement establishing a minimum 15% rate for large multinational corporations. A resolution will be put to the vote in the 4-7 July plenary session.

In brief
Extension of the EU Digital COVID Certificate legal framework. Parliament is expected to endorse the agreement with member states to prolong the validity of the EU Digital COVID Certificate framework until the summer of 2023, to guarantee the right to free movement in the event, for example, that new variants of concern emerge.
Formal address by Zambian President Hichilema. At 11.00, Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia, will address Parliament.
Votes
The voting session will start at 11.30. Besides the files mentioned above, MEPs will vote on:
- the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Facility;
- the 2021 report on Montenegro;
- funds for financing reception condition costs of people fleeing Ukraine;
- inclusion measures within Erasmus+;
- aid from the European Globalisation Fund for France and Greece, and
- the appointment of the new Dutch member of the European Court of Auditors.
