Savour local, support local: Summerlicious 2025 launches today across Toronto
Today, Mayor Olivia Chow and Councillor Shelley Carroll (Don Valley North) officially launched Summerlicious 2025, Toronto’s favourite celebration of local flavour and neighbourhood dining.
From Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 20, more than 220 local restaurants across Toronto are offering delicious three-course prix fixe menus. Lunch menus are priced from $20 to $55 and dinner menus range from $25 to $75. Summerlicious invites residents and visitors to explore Toronto’s diverse culinary scene while supporting the local restaurants that help make the city vibrant.
This year’s program welcomes new participants including: 1Kitchen, Abrielle, Alder, AYLA, Casa Madera, Chotto Matte, JaBistro, Kiin, Korean Village, La Nayarita, Ngogo, Patois, Salt Wine Bar, Seoul House, The Porch Light and more.
More than 160 participating restaurants are offering vegetarian menus, with many also providing vegan and gluten-free options. Diners are encouraged to make reservations early as spots fill quickly.
A complete list of participating restaurants and their menus is available on the City’s Summerlicious website: http://www.toronto.ca/summerlicious.
Summerlicious supports Toronto’s restaurant industry while aligning with the City’s Love Local campaign, part of the Mayor’s Economic Action Plan in Response to U.S. Tariffs (https://www.toronto.ca/business-economy/business-operation-growth/business-support/responding-to-united-states-economic-policy/). The campaign focuses on protecting and promoting local businesses, strengthening community resilience and boosting Toronto’s economic vitality.
Summerlicious 2025 is sponsored by Hong Kong Tourism Board with support from media partners Toronto Star, CP24, Newstalk 1010 and NOW Toronto.
Residents can also book their spot (www.dailoto.com) for a one-night-only culinary collaboration at Toronto’s DaiLo on Sunday, July 20, featuring Chef Nick Liu and Canadian Michelin-starred Chef Alvin Leung, presented by the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
