###From the Director-General
In May, 2023 the ICGEB Board of Governors met in South Africa to discuss future steps in Biotechnology. Among the major results: Lawrence Banks, ICGEB Director-General unanimously renominated for a second 5-year term; the ICGEB Scale of Assessment brought in line with the UN, and the Governors of Serbia and Ethiopia elected to the Bureau.
