(AGENPARL) – mer 30 novembre 2022 New UN report: The Future of Food and Agriculture – Drivers and triggers for transformation
FAO to launch 2022 edition of the report on 2 December 13:00-14:30 (CET)
How are agrifood systems reacting to global challenges like poverty and inequalities, geopolitical instability, scarcity and the degradation of resources, and climate change? Is the production of food and our ability to feed people under threat?
This is what a new report by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) will examine while proposing solutions to the issues at hand.
FAO will launch the report – the Future of Food and Agriculture – Drivers and triggers for transformation at an event on 2 December, 13:00-14:30 (CET).
The future of food and agriculture (FOFA) is an FAO series that portrays long-term analyses of food and agricultural systems within the social and economic context. The report proposes strategic and policy-relevant insights that feed into ongoing public debates and decision-making to achieve the [Sustainable Development Goals](https://www.fao.org/sustainable-development-goals/en/). It portrays recent global trends and alternative future scenarios to analyse possible pathways of food and agricultural systems. Food consumption, agricultural production, natural resources and production factors, such as labour, investment and capital are among the themes addressed in the series.
The hybrid launch event will be webcast and can be followed [here](http://www.fao.org/webcast/home/en/item/6054/icode/). Register [here](https://fao.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJMuceygrTwrHNIJ3Uod_H3wDUuhc9r2hItL) for the event.
