Sacramento residents can now save more by upgrading one of the biggest water users in the home.The Department of Utilities is offering a larger rebate for replacing old, inefficient toilets with ultra-high-efficiency models that use significantly less water per flush.At a glance:Residential customers can qualify for up to $175 per ultra-high-efficiency toiletNew toilets must be a Maximum Performance (MaP) Premium model that uses 1.1 gallons per flush or lessCustomers must be replacing a toilet manufactured before 1992 that uses 3.5 gallons per flush or moreCustomers must receive pre-approval before removing and replacing their old toilet(s)This rebate is available to single-family and multi-family residential properties only. The City offers a separate high-efficiency toilet rebate to eligible commercial, industrial and institutional customers.
