TIM: LA CORTE DI CASSAZIONE CONFERMA LA RESTITUZIONE DEL CANONE ‘98, ATTESO UN RIMBORSO DI POCO SUPERIORE A 1 MILIARDO DI EURO
TIM comunica di aver ricevuto comunicazione, in data odierna, in merito alla sentenza della Corte di Cassazione che conferma la restituzione del canone concessorio preteso per il 1998, chiudendo così un contenzioso durato oltre 20 anni.
La sentenza della Cassazione rigetta infatti il ricorso presentato dalla Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri e conferma in via definitiva la decisione della Corte d’Appello di Roma dell’aprile 2024.
La somma dovuta è pari al canone originario, di poco superiore a 500 milioni di euro, più la rivalutazione e gli interessi maturati, per un totale di poco superiore a 1 miliardo di euro

TIM: COURT OF CASSATION CONFIRMS REFUND OF 1998 LICENSE FEE, EXPECTED A REFUND SLIGHTLY HIGHER THAN €1 BILLION
TIM announces that it has today received notification of the Court of Cassation’s ruling confirming the refund of the license fee claimed for 1998, thus ending a dispute that has lasted over 20 years.
Italy’s Supreme Court ruling has rejected the appeal filed by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and definitively confirms the decision of the Court of Appeal of Rome of April 2024.
The amount due is equal to the original license fee, slightly more than 500 million euros, plus revaluation and accrued interest, for a total of just over 1 billion euros
