A press point with a representative of the winning film and the Chair of the Committee on Culture and Education will take place shortly after the ceremony, outside the hemicycle.
Who:* The director or producer of the winning film, alongside the chair of the Committee on Culture and Education Nela Riehl [3] and Mike Downey, the chair of the European Film Academy.
When:* Tuesday, 29 April, around 19.15
Where:* European Parliament, Brussels, in front of room SPAAK 03C050 and via Parliament’s webstreaming [4] and EbS+. [5]
Background*
Five films are shortlisted for the 2025 LUX Audience Award [6] : “ Animal [7] ” by Greek director Sofia Exarchou, “ Dahomey [8] ” by French director Mati Diop, “ Flow [9] ” by Latvian director Gints Zilbalodis, “ Intercepted [10] ” by Ukranian director Oksana Karpovych, and “ Julie keeps quiet [11] ” by Belgian director Leonardo van Dijl.
The winning film is chosen by a combined public vote and vote by MEPs, each group’s choice weighted at 50%.
