The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated that he had received information from Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić that Interpol had rejected the request from the unconstitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to issue a red notice against him and the President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić.
“President Vučić just called me to inform me that he received a notification from the Interpol Directorate stating that Serbia’s appeal had been upheld and that Interpol rejected the request from the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to issue a red notice for Stevandić and me,” Dodik stated on the social network X.
Dodik expressed his gratitude to Vučić for his support and for the clear and principled communication with Interpol.
“I thank Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and all the Presidents of other countries who filed appeals, understanding the political context of the legal persecution I am facing,” he added.
According to Interpol, the request was rejected based on Article 3 of the Interpol Statute, which prohibits persecution on political grounds.
