(AGENPARL) – ven 31 gennaio 2025 PRESS STATEMENT
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
31 January 2025
CUT 2025 first-year registrations almost complete at 99.69%
The registration process at the Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) has seen up to 4 468 first time entering students registering for the 2025 academic year. This means that as of 30 January 2025 the percentage of first year students who have completed their registration stood at 99.42%%.
The university’s First Time Entering Undergraduate Targets are 4 515 students as CUT’s enrolment goals are aligned with national funding allocations, which require the institution to operate within the resources that both the country and the university can provide. After receiving about 243 261 applications for the 2025 academic, the institution is aware of the immense demand for entry into an institution of higher learning. On the first day of registration, 22 January 2025, more than 56% of first-time entering undergraduates had registered at the institution.
Programmes at the institution are full, however, unsuccessful or rejected applicants are encouraged to utilise the Central Application Clearing House (CACH) system, which offers support and a referral service. The service opened on 27 January 2025 and aims to assist applicants by referring them to career development opportunities and, where possible, help them access spaces still available within public universities, TVET colleges, or SETA learnerships. Applicants can register for CACH online at cach.cas.ac.za.
