Tracking paper applications for probate on MyHMCTS [ https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apply-for-probate-on-paper-as-a-practitioner?utm_medium=email&utm_source= ]
From Tuesday 3 September 2024, we’re updating MyHMCTS so that you can track the progress of applications that are made using a paper form more easily.
Paper applications, which are currently sent to our Harlow registry, will be scanned on to MyHMCTS and you will be emailed a 16 digit number known as your case ID.
To access paper applications you can select the notice of change option on your MyHMCTS dashboard [ https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/myhmcts-how-to-complete-case-administration-tasks/submit-a-notice-of-change-in-representation-using-myhmcts?utm_medium=email&utm_source= ] and enter the 16 digit case ID and the surname of the deceased. You’ll then be able to track the progress of the application as normal.
More guidance on making probate applications [ https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/myhmcts-how-to-apply-for-probate-online/apply-for-probate-with-myhmcts?utm_medium=email&utm_source= ] using MyHMCTS is available on GOV.UK.
