Sacramento 2040 includes the General Plan Update and Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP). This project is the City’s blueprint for how and where our city will grow over the next 20 years and a framework to guide Sacramento’s efforts to mitigate and adapt to climate change.
The Draft General Plan contains policies that guide everything from environmental justice, transportation, and the types of housing that can be built, to jobs, parks, public safety, and much more.
The Draft CAAP outlines a communitywide framework for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and establishing Sacramento as a climate leader.
