Final round of City of Festivals grants now open to support events across Sacramento
The City of Sacramento is accepting applications for its fourth and final round of the City of Festival program to support special events taking place in Sacramento from Sept. 1 through Dec. 31.
Any individual or organization that would like to put on an event within the city of Sacramento may apply for the grant. Applications are due by May 31.
The maximum grant award is $7,500.
To qualify the special events must be
– Consistent with family-oriented themes
– Support arts and cultural entertainment and activities
– Promote a healthier living environment
– Enhance the quality of life in the city
Grant funds may be used to pay costs incurred in connection with the special event, including:
– City costs for police services
– Parking and permits
– Private security
– Portable restrooms
– Event fencing
– And other event expenditures
